Sutol 23
The Sutol 23 was originally built for Todd Hill in England. Sutol were a small race car manufacturing company who were all ex Lotus staff and had constructed the famous Lotus 23 sports car. Sutol is infact Lotus spelt backwards and the original mounds were used in the construction. The frame and brakes have been upgraded to improve safety but in essence the car is a Lotus 23. The car was raced in the UK mainly in speed events and brought to Australia in 1989 by Todd. In the early 1990’s the car won two state Sports car Championships driven by Todd. In early 2000 Todd sold the car to Trevor Hill (no relation). Trevor used the car in regularities and tuning days and after a few years sold the car to Neil McCrudden. The car was driven by Jamie Kerkhoff during 2008 to 2010. The car was returned to the WA Racing Museum in 2010 and has now been restored back to its original build specifications and livery.
